Laxius Power II - The Walkthrough

Random : Page 22

At the "5 Doors" area you'll =
Get 1% added to your percentage at the end of the game for each victory at each door battle, for a total of 5% extra to your score. Note that you may fight each door battle as often as you can afford it, but this percentage point will be added once only per door.
Get xp for winning
Lose money (you have to pay for each battle)
The battles in the 5 Doors are pre-arranged

At the garden you'll =
Get xp for winning
Get money from three of the battles: Titanic Lycose 550 GP, Crakatahor (the crocodile) 1014 GP, and Giant Crab (x 3) 15 GP.
Get a weapon for Wendie from a chest
The battles in the garden are random, one minor, the rest are boss-level

You're going to have to go from one of these areas to the other, saving and rest all the time (dead party members will revive after rest). You may win a battle with just one of your party left, but remember that dead members get no xp. I would re-load if you're not all intact after a battle, but this whole ending will take some time to do anyway. Although Door #1 is winnable now, I would suggest going to the garden first.
Whichever way you go, note this:
The player, Trihero, tells me that Random's TeAndal Glory significantly raises his attacks in many of the battles, and you can follow this with plain Attacks.
For "plain" LPII characters, Guanidia can only really either cast Phagocytosys or Glue, the latter being the most effective in most battles. LPI characters, of course, will have Mind Bios, and this one item may allow you to fight the Door battles at lower levels than I suggest.
In the very early stages, Wendie may be advised to Defend, and occasionally cast Fresh Tsumani. As she gains levels, her spells will become more effective- Attack Up, Lucien Konikcut, Love Me, etc. I have not detailed which spell is best for which random garden encounter, but I have made some suggestions for the 5 Doors.
When Chaz joins, he will mainly be either Attacking or healing. He has a reasonable defence, and is really just there as cannon-fodder.

The player, Variable, points out that you can save anywhere in this garden- as soon as you enter, the "save" option becomes available in your menu. Anyway, move around a little, but stay near the entrance, so you can get out quickly if you need to. Remember that you can run away from most of these battles if you need to. Hopefully, you'll have an easy first encounter, but you may be re-loading a lot. As soon as you level-up, go back to your house, rest, come back here and save as soon as you step in- you may want to play safe and do this every time you level. When you get to level 4, go down to the armory and speak to Chaz. He's changed his mind, and has decided to join you- even though he's still at level 1, things are now going to get a lot easier. (By the way, even though he can give Random his equipment, there's no need to do this). At this stage, you can go and do your first three "door" fights. Page down

(from the Door 1,2 and 3 battles)
As before, fight and level. Once you get confident enough to wander freely, go down to the hidden chest at (6) to get the Heart Devourer. Give it to Wendie if you want- the stats are a little worse overall than the Metallist, but this bow does raise her speed a bit (it can also occasionally kill the Titanic Lycoses with one hit). Once you get to (at least) level 10, you can try door #4. Page down

(from the Door 4 battle)
You might want to keep going until you're at least level 15 before you try door #5. Page down

You'll see 5 doors. Speak to the market seller, who is called Tubu-Keka, and he will tell you that, for 100 GP per person, you can open one of the doors and fight the creature(s) behind. Each of these victories is worth points- you can fight these more than once, but it's an expensive way of getting HP, especially when you can get it for free at the garden. I've numbered the doors according to what I thought was the difficulty level.

Pay up and enter the door at (1). You will face Morphing Bacteria x 3 and Morphing Pseudopode x 4. I had Random cast Spin Attack; Guanidia cast Phagocytosys; Wendie cast Lucien Konikcut and Fresh Tsunami; Chaz Attacked/healed. After the battle, rest, save, come back here.

Behind the door at (2) is Cercoleptore x 2. I had Random cast TeAndal Glory, then Attacked; Guanidia cast Glue; Wendie cast Delta Night and Fresh Tsunami; Chaz Attacked/healed. Rest, save, come back.

Behind the door at (3) is Grand Gargoyle and Tyrian Gargoyle x 2. I had Random cast TeAndal Glory, then Attacked; Guanidia cast either Phagocytosys or Glue; Wendie has the option of a few spells that work, or just Attack; Chaz Attacked/healed. Rest and save. Before you do the last two battles you'll need to go back to the garden to go up a few levels. There's also still a weapon to get which you can give to Wendie . Page up

Behind the door at (4) is Firebone and Werewerewolf. (I equipped Wendie with the Metallist here to get her other stats up) I had Random cast TeAndal Glory (only works on Werewerewolf), then Attacked Werewerewolf, then cast Quadra Strike on Firebone; Guanidia cast Glue; Wendie mainly cast Lucien Konikcut & Fresh Tsunami; Chaz Attacked/healed. You'll need to be at a higher level for the last battle, so go back to the garden and keep slashing. Page up

Behind the door at (5) is Wastelands Horror and Giulian Manticora x 2. I had trouble with this battle up to level 14, but found it relatively easy at 15. This may be because Wendie's Love Me reached a point of power that it worked, very well.
So, I had Random cast TeAndal Glory, then Attacked each Manticora in turn until they died, then Quadra Strike on the Horror; Guanidia cast Glue; Wendie cast Love Me until after both Mantocora died, then either Attacked, cast Delta Night or Fresh Tsumani; Chaz started with Fresh Wave on Wendie (pre-emptive), then on whoever was hurt, then lastly Attacked/healed.

Phew...now go back to your house. To Page 1
