(from gym tavern)
Go up and speak to Yulan (
9).
He will tell you that you will have fight the "first master" shortly
(the five masters are standing in a line in front of him), but you first have
to go downstairs to the training room to get 100 points by hitting a metal
puppet. Go down the ladder at (
10).

Go to the tavern and save, then speak to Yulan again. He tells
you to fight
Lucius Lezzy, who's
standing at (
A).
Because Lucius is faster than you, he will always strike first, which means
that you can't Defend when you see him increasing power- so this fight is
rather down to luck. I would Attack, heal (using your only Tonic Tea), and
Attack again- hopefully, you will kill him on your second Attack. After the
battle, speak to Yulan again and he will ask you to train a little with Greg
at (
13)
before you go. Save at the tavern, rest with Kim if you need to, then go over
to Greg and speak to him. You'll be put up against a random number of
Leonian
Fighters, but even against a lot of these guys, it's not tough.
After this, go back to your house, save and sleep.

Go to the tavern, pick up your free Tonic Tea, save and speak
to Yulan. He tells you to fight
KarKorbbon,
who's standing at (
B).
He is slow, and you will get to Attack first; this shouldn't be a difficult
battle, and I doubt if you'll need to use your Tonic Tea. Afterwards, Yulan
will ask you to come back tomorrow to train with the puppets and Greg. Go
back to your house, save and sleep.

Go to the tavern, pick up your free Tonic Tea, save and speak
to Yulan. He tells you to train with Greg, and Greg informs you that you'll
have to fight the Leonian fighters three times. You can rest & save in
between each of these fights, but you'll probably be able to do it all in
one go. Speak to Greg when you want to fight the 2nd & 3rd battles. Afterwards,
rest and save at the tavern and speak to Yulan. He wants Coryool to train
with the puppets, but Coryool wants to fight the third master now. Yulan says
ok, so go to
Mako at (
C)
and fight him. You will strike first in this battle- just Attack, it should
be easy. After the fight, KarKobbon gets so annoyed with your victories that
he leaves. As you leave the gym, Coryool goes off to have some fun, and you
then find yourself back in your room.

Click on the chest of drawers at (

to get
Royal Nem. You will find
Leanda wandering around the gym, she says that she is there to support you.
Go to the tavern, pick up your free Tonic Tea, save and speak to Yulan. He
tells you to fight
Boga Bago,
who's standing at (
D)
(in fact the others will have gone by now, so he'll just be standing on the
left). He will strike first, but you may be able to defeat him with your first
Attack- anyway, another easy one. Afterwards, rest and save at the tavern
and speak to Leanda. She reads Longbury's letter and agrees to join you. EQUIP
Leanda with her Passionata and Savior Scarf, exit the gym and go to the tavern.

Click on the bench at (

to get a
Tonic Tea, and on the

for another
Tonic Tea. You will
see that there is no fighting on the training area now and that you can walk
across it. Go down to the hidden chest at (

to get
Meteor Bracelet. EQUIP
this now (it goes on your other hand). Speak to Yulan, and he will tell you
to go fight
Darren (
E,
but he'll be by himself in the middle). Remember what Caius said? Ok, so Defend
in the first two rounds, and in the third round, Darren starts to cough and
splutter. Even if you're down to one HP, Attack! It may take two rounds to
kill him, but you should be ok. After the battle, speak to Yulan again and
he is so impressed that he closes the gym down for one month to train you
personally. Exit the gym and go back to the chapel.

Yulan will be standing by himself
and will look a little different. Speak to him, and you will go into a fight.
You will note that you can use magic against Yulan. This fight is
very
difficult, but I strongly suggest you re-load and try again if you lose. Win
or lose, you'll get a reward to your stats, but:
Win: A = +8 ; M = +3 ; Sp = + 12; XP = 1200
Lose: A = +4 ; Sp = +8
So, it's worth giving it a couple of goes. For me, it went something like:
Bomber Y, heal (with
major healing item, like Royal Nem, etc.), Bomber
Y, heal, Bomber Y, heal, Bomber Y, win. Note that I healed in anticipation
of his strikes. Don't worry too much if you just can't win this fight, it's
not
that important.
After the battle, go back to your room.

Speak to Yulan, and he will suggest you train a little with the metal puppets
downstairs. Go down the ladder behind him.
