You can fight the Carsten the guardian at (

if you want, if you win you'll get 50 xp. I wouldn't bother, unless you're
really desperate. There is something you can pick up now at the Tavern
(

but we'll get it later. Enter the Gym (

As you exit the house, you'll see a chef wandering around in front (
11).
Speak to him, and he tells you that he's John Longbury's chef, but he's leaving
the tavern as there's been some trouble. No need to go to the tavern just
yet, though. Click on the right side of the square flower pot at (

for an

As you exit the house, a boy will come running up to you and hand you a letter,
which turns out to be from John Longbury, the owner of the tavern. He's in
trouble, and he asks you to go to the tavern to help. This is the start of
a sub-quest in which you can take Leanda, but in order to get her, you'll
first have to enter the gym and do some gym stuff.

Before you go to the chapel, go behind your house and you'll see somone wandering
around there (
13).
He's a Dwarf, and a friend of Caius (a buddy of yours at the gym). He wishes
you luck with your last fight, and gives you
Indigo
Parsley. Walk over to the right side of the town, and you'll
see Caius in a green cloak (
14)
wandering around here. He has some useful information about Darren, the fifth
master- that he uses all his energy in the first two rounds. Go down to the
chapel (
9)
and enter.
